About Wild West
We opened our doors in January of 2015. We pride ourselves in our diverse selection of unique leather such as bison, elk, deer, yak, bear and much more. We also carry a wide variety of furs from small rabbits and muskrat to large bison, elk, cow, yak and most everything in between! We love working with our customers to help them find the perfect product and love seeing their creative projects come together!
Owners: Scott Cocharo & Laurie Zimmerschied
This mother and son team are all about family. Laurie stepped into Wild West after raising 2 sons and a successful 20 year career as an Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety Specialist. After graduating from college, Scott enlisted in the U.S. Army serving his country in Afghanistan for a year. After getting out of the Army Scott used the GI Bill to attend taxidermy school.
The Family
Scott's son Brandon loves helping at the shows and Laurie's husband Dee is always ready to step up when needed whether it's trapping, skinning, or sitting at a trade show. Laurie's Dad (Scott's Grandfather) cuts leather lace, braids reins, and handcrafts jewelry. The rest of the family and friends are always ready to lend a helping hand from taking inventory, to helping at trade shows, and even building this website! We feel truly blessed to have such a strong support group, we wouldn't be here without them! To all our family and friends, THANKS!
